The Future of Camp Nou

Barcelona’s Camp Nou, Europe’s largest stadium, is set to undergo a significant repair and extension project to convert the famous facility into a world-class destination. The stadium, situated in the neighborhood of Les Corts in Barcelona, Spain, has been the home of FC Barcelona since 1957.

The stadium redevelopment, dubbed New Camp Nou, is predicted to cost €420 million ($465.7 million) and is part of a larger project, Espai Barca, expected to cost roughly €600 million ($665.2 million). Additionally, it incorporates the HOK-designed New Palau Blaugrana, a multi-use arena.

Arriving at the Stadium

Camp Nou is in the east of Barcelona, around 5 kilometers from the city’s historic center. It is home to FC Barcelona. The stadium is a part of a larger sports complex that includes the Mini Estadi de Barcelona, which is also a football stadium.

Fc Barcelona Camp Nou Entrance

The stadium is easily accessible via metro. Various stations are located nearby, and it takes around ten minutes to walk from any of them to the stadium.

From the city center of Barcelona, use metro line 3. Take the metro of Zona Universitària and exit at Les Corts. The next route is either to Maria Cristina or Palau Reial. The commute from the center takes around 25 minutes.

If you’re around Sagrada Familia and are urged to explore the stadium, you can take metro line 5. Take the metro to  Cornellà Center and exit toward Collblanc or Badal station.

If arriving from the Ronda da Dalt (the freeway that runs west of Barcelona) by car, use exit 11 and head to the Avenida Diagonal (B-23). Keep right on the Avenida Diagonal (to the right of the tram lines) and turn right into the Calle de Sabino Arana after about two kilometers (follow the FC Barcelona signs).

If you turn left instead of using the tunnel, you’ll find yourself on the Gran Via de Carlos III. The Travesia de las Cortes may be found on the right after a few hundred meters. The stadium will be seen on your right after a few hundred meters more. Continue driving the bend to the left (avoid the tunnel), and turn right to Gran Via de Carlos III. Keep driving for a few hundred meters more and then keep right onto Traversa da las Cortes.

If driving from the A-2 (west), use the B-23 that leads to the city, which will lead you into the Avenida Diagonal.

FC Barcelona Camp Nou Tickets

The demand for Barcelona Camp Nou tickets is a phenomenon in itself. Be it for a critical Barcelona match, the iconic El Clasico, or just a leisurely Camp Nou tour, the rush is always on. And why not? After all, it’s a ticket to history, excitement, and sheer footballing brilliance.

Many people turn up at the stadium without giving it much thought. If you’re one of them, you will only take a tour to visit the museum on a self-guided tour or may have to wait for the next tour to become available. There are also possibilities not to even see the trip because it’s already sold out.

If you then wish to participate in one of the VIP experiences, you will be unable to do so because those must be reserved in advance.

Don’t get us wrong, the museum is fantastic and provides a wealth of insight on the club, the culture, and futbol. But the club now offers incredible opportunities to witness the locker room, media center, and players tunnels that have just been added recently, and it would be a pity for us if you miss out on them.

Booking Your Trip

While all match fixtures are issued before the start of the season — except for a few big seasonal events in Spain, the actual date of the match can change 14 days before the play. This is because of television scheduling, so a big game can change from its customary Saturday time to a Sunday, or even on Monday or Friday.

Fc Barcelona Camp Nou Stadium

To prevent last-minute disasters, book your flights early and plan to spend both Saturday and Sunday nights in Barcelona, if possible. It is unheard of for a Barça match to be postponed to a Friday or Monday slot, although it happens a few times each season.

Take note to confirm your time and date ahead of the match, as you will not be emailed or informed about the postponed match. Each year, a large number of unhappy spectators discover much too late that the game began sooner than they anticipated, or even the day before.

Booking Your Tickets

Online

FC Barcelona’s official website is the best place to buy your ticket, and it will show you all of the team’s forthcoming home games. The sooner you book, the more you will secure seats together – but keep in mind that you can only purchase six tickets at a time. Online tickets for Camp Nou are available here to avoid queues.

Alternatively, you may purchase your tickets through Ticketmaster, which is an official FC Barcelona partner. We try to remind our readers not to buy tickets of another third party, aside from the legal green area, as you face the danger of ticket sellers running and leaving you high and dry.

Ticket Office at the Stadium

If you’ve forgotten a game till the last minute and happen to still be in Barcelona, there are sometimes tickets available for resale at the stadium’s entry before the game begins. However, beware of fakes and professional resellers who will raise the ticket price, and be cautious of last-minute cancellations.

Tickets at Camp Nou are available at two separate access points – 9 and 14.Opening hours for Access 9:Opening Hours for Access 14:

Telephone Call

Tickets may also be purchased over the phone through Barcelona FC: +34 90 218 9900. However, make sure you clarify with them what their policy is in the event of a match being rescheduled, cancelled, or postponed before you purchase. The customer service line is available in Spanish, Catalan, and English.  You can purchase tickets using a credit card or debit card.

ATM/Cash Machine

ServiCaixa is a new system allowing people to buy tickets from ATMs, allowing them to make a purchase through a cash machine. Throughout Barcelona, you will find ‘La Caixa’ cash machines where you can purchase match tickets. You do not need a Spanish bank account in order to do this. All you need is a visa or credit card.

Choosing Your Game Seats

One fantastic thing is that the stadium is very steep, but despite that, all of the seats offer a superb view of the game. You’ll almost certainly have to pick between expense, ambiance, and visibility in the end.

While the most expensive seats (category 1) have the finest views (General and Lateral), they typically lack the hype. According to former Barça player Dani Alves, playing at Camp Nou felt like “playing away” due to the home crowd’s absence of excitement and support.

Fc Barcelona Camp Nou Best Seat

On the other side, die-hard supporters prefer to sit behind the goals in the lower tier – particularly in Gol Nord – where your vision of the players is not that good, but they reflect this in the ticket price. So it would help if you decided which is more important to you: a good atmosphere or a good eye of what is happening on the pitch.

Camp Nou is not just a venue; it’s an emotion. An emotion that unfolds wonderfully with Barcelona Camp Nou tickets. So, whether a hardcore football aficionado or just a curious traveler, the doors of Camp Nou always beckon, promising an experience unparalleled.
